Sobhita Dhulipala: Bollywood Star & Model Biography

Sobhita Dhulipala is known as one of the rising stars of Bollywood. She was previously crowned as a runner-up in Pond’s Femina Miss India South, which is a regional Miss India pageant by Femina. In the event she was also named Miss Fashion Icon, Miss Stylish Hair, and Miss Adventurous.

Childhood

Sobhita Dhulipala hails from Tenali in the state of Andhra Pradesh. She grew up in Visakhapatnam, which now is also known as Vizag. Since a very young age, she was inclined towards the arts. She trained as a classical dancer. She is classically trained in Bharatanatyam, which is a popular and old form of dance in India. Because of her love for dancing, she went on to pursue another form of classical training in Kuchipudi. She is also a gifted guitar player.

From a very young age she was encouraged to read books and novels.

Family

Sobhita was born into a Tamil Hindu family, on 31st May, 1992. Her family is a Brahmin family. Her father’s name is Venugopal Rao and mother’s name is Santha Rao. She also has a younger sister. Her family is very supportive of her.

Education

Dhulipala was a student in Little Angels School in Visakhapatnam. She later changed her school and attended the Visakha Valley School. After completing her higher school in Visakhapatnam, she went to Mumbai to pursue higher education and to seek a career in film and acting. She completed her undergraduate degree from H. R. College of Commerce, in Mumbai. Her degree was in Economics. She completed her post graduation, taking Economics as her specialization.

Career

After winning the second position in Pond’s Femina Miss India South in 2013, she went forward with a career as a model. Dhulipala also represented India in Miss Earth 2013, held in Philippines. She also was featured in the Kingfisher calendar of 2014. In her young career in acting, she has already done several movies, including Telugu and Malayalam. She has appeared in two movies alongside Saif Ali Khan, one of which was in the movie Chef. in 2016 her debut movie was Raman Raghav 2.0. In this movie she was seen acting with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal.

Dhulipala was also the lead character in Amazon Prime Video’s show, Made in Heaven.

She was the brand ambassador for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 for Kalanjali. Kalanjali is a textile industry, quite popular in the southern region of India.
