Let me tell you about the amazing Karuna Singh, born on October 30, 1996, in Mohali, Chandigarh. This girl’s got it all! Not only did she excel in her academics, winning the coveted student of the year award in 2010, but she’s also a national level baseball player and state level horse riding champion. Talk about a triple threat!
But wait, there’s more! Karuna’s beauty and grace were recognized early on when she was crowned the “Rose Princess” at the Chandigarh Rose Festival at just six months old. And she’s still killing it today, being selected as the official state winner to represent Punjab at Gladrags Little Miss India 2013 after winning the title of “Little Miss India Punjab” in June 2012.
Born and brought up in a Sikh family, Karuna holds her Punjabi tradition and culture close to her heart, and she thanks her mother, Manpreet Karuna, for instilling those values in her. Karuna did her primary schooling from co-ed “Lawrence School” in Lovedale, Ooty up until class X, and completed her 12th grade exams in PCM from “Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School” in Sector 26, Chandigarh.
So keep your eyes on this one, folks, because Karuna Singh is sure to make some serious waves in the world of beauty pageantry and beyond!
Karuna Singh With Her Husband
At just 16 years old, Karuna Singh made her mark by winning the prestigious “Gladrags Little Miss India 2013” competition held in Mumbai in January 2013. From there, she headed to the United States to pursue a degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
During her time at UCI, Karuna showed that she’s not just a pretty face, but a top-tier scholar as well. In fact, she was one of only 30 students chosen from a pool of over 30,000 participants to participate in a highly competitive administrative internship. And that’s not all – Karuna also participated in the “Gladrags MegaModel 2016” competition as the youngest contestant and emerged as the winner, alongside Gladrags Manhunt 2016 winner Ansh Duggal from New Delhi.
Karuna completed her four-year degree and graduated with the class of 2018, but not before making her mark on campus as a member of the Gamma Phi Beta international college sorority. With her winning combination of beauty and brains, it’s clear that Karuna Singh is a force to be reckoned with!
Karuna Singh’s post-graduation journey took her to the California real estate market for a spell, but she ultimately returned to Mohali to work alongside her father, who’s also a real estate developer. Alongside her interest in acting, Karuna is also honing her craft at the New York Film Academy and attending classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. She’s even produced and starred in the short film “Dil se Andhe.”
While Karuna may not be the tallest actress around (she stands at 5 feet 6¼ inches or 168 cm tall), her slim figure and healthy weight of 101 lbs are certainly envy-inducing. Her other physical stats include 32-24-33, and she has striking light brown eyes and naturally black hair. It’s clear that Karuna is not just a talented actress, but a true beauty as well!
Karuna Singh will be facing stiff competition in the upcoming grand finale of the “Femina Miss India 2020” competition, set to take place in January or February 2021. Among the other 30 contestants vying for the coveted title are:
